A group of animal rescue personnel have alleged they ended up attacked by residents of a neighbourhood in northwest Delhi on Friday, even though they were striving to assistance stray pet dogs, prompting outrage on social media and calls for motion. In a statement on Saturday, the Delhi Police mentioned they have submitted a case and are investigating it.
“In see of late night hrs, neighborhood citizens enquired about their identities on which heated argument started out and a scuffle occurred concerning them. Thereafter, when the individuals from the NGO experimented with to flee from the spot in their vehicle, three regional residents have been hit by their vehicle and received some minimal accidents,” the law enforcement explained.
