Whilst talking at a digital BJP rally in West Bengal, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad stated on Thursday, July 2, that the Modi government’s final decision to impose ban on 59 Chinese apps was a “electronic strike” on the neighbouring region.
The IT Minister stated that the applications have been banned to shield data of Indians. “We banned Chinese applications to secure facts of countrymen it was a digital strike,” Prasad mentioned.
Prasad went on to include, “For stability and sovereignty of India, for countrymen’s electronic security and privateness we have banned 59 applications, such as TikTok. India is familiar with how to search in the eyes of those eyeing our borders and to shield countrymen, India can even do a digital strike.”
‘India has offered befitting reply to China’
“India for peace but if somebody casts an evil eye we will give befitting reply,” Ravi Shankar Prasad added.
India not long ago banned 59 Chinese mobile apps, which include TikTok, Weibo, CamScanner, among other people, amid heightened tensions amongst India and China subsequent the June 15 clash in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley that claimed lives of 20 Indian troops.
Ravi Shankar Prasad even further blamed the CPI-M and questioned why the bash was not criticising China amid the current border conflict.
He also hailed the “sturdy” management of Key Minister Narendra Modi and claimed that if India has lost 20 jawans, the toll is double on the other (Chinese) aspect.
“Now you can listen to about only two ‘Cs’ – Coronaviris and China. We believe that in peace and fix troubles via dialogue, but if somebody casts an evil eye on India, we will give a befitting reply…if our 20 jawans have sacrificed their lives, then the toll is double on the Chinese facet.
“You all ought to have discovered that they have not occur out with any figure,” Prasad, also the Union electronics and facts technology minister, explained addressing a virtual rally for the people of Bengal.
Prasad also recalled how India experienced responded right after terror attacks in the current earlier. “You all need to try to remember how we had retaliated soon after Uri and Pulwama (terror strikes).
