Apex High School inducted 119 students into the National Technical Honor Society during a recent ceremony.

Membership in the National Technical Honor Society is extended to all juniors and seniors having earned an “A” for at least two Career –Technical Education (CTE) course, having a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0, having a passing grade in all subjects for the previous semester of the year inducted, and CTE teacher recommendation.

A candlelight ceremony was conducted to explain the eight standards of the Technical Honor Society – knowledge, skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship, and leadership. The inductees were charged to uphold the standards and with the responsibility and the challenge of continuous learning and self-improvement throughout life.

Each inductee received a certificate, membership pin, and instructions on applying for scholarships.

In addition, President Siri Chadalavada administered the Pledge of Membership to the new members.

The Apex High NTHS began in May 2008 with the induction of 16 members and one honorary member, Tony Holmes. There are currently 159 student members and five honorary members in the chapter.
