New Hope Valley Railway’s (NHVR) new season continues on Sunday, May 6, with steam and diesel locomotive train rides. The first train departs at 11 a.m. from the NHVR train yard, located in Bonsal, N.C. 10-minutes south of Apex off U.S. Highway 1.

The public is invited to relax and enjoy the cool breeze as the open-air train cars allow passengers clear views of the natural scenery on the eight-mile, round-trip ride. While there, learn railroading history while visiting the North Carolina Railway Museum made up of historic train cars and railroad equipment.

“Our spring ride day makes for the perfect family outing to Bonsal,” said NHVR President Mike MacLean.

Diesel train rides will be departing at 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. and steam train rides at 12:15 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children (ages 2-12). Purchase tickets online and learn more by visiting www.TriangleTrain.com or www.facebook.com/TriangleTrain.
