Boy Scout Troop 316 and Venture Crew 316 recently came together to celebrate Austin Jones’s achievement of Boy Scouts’ highest rank: Eagle. The son of Dwight and Denise Jones of Apex and a senior at Wake Christian Academy, Austin plans to attend East Carolina University and major in engineering. As Katherine Randle watched her grandmother battle bladder cancer, the Apex High School sophomore felt helpless. The teenager wanted to do something to help but had no idea where to begin.
