The Apex Lions last week held a Panther Creek Leo Club Charter Night Celebration.
The name Leo stands for the following: Leadership—Develop skills as a project organizer, time manager, and team leader, Experience—Learn how teamwork, cooperation and collaboration can bring exciting changes to your community and world; and Opportunity-Make friends and feel the rewards of community service.
Induction of the members of the Panther Creek High School Leo Club was done by Lions District Governor Andy Lilliston. He encouraged the new Leos to look for ways to serve their community and have fun doing it.
The new officers of the Leo Club were installed by the equivalent officer from the Apex Lions. The new Leo Officers are as follows:President-Rizwan Dard, Vice President—James Compton, Secretary-Susan Bowen, Treasurer- Quinlin Riggs, and Board Members—Caroll George, Jon Mackanic, and Julia Shen.
Apex Lion President Larry Jordan said that he and all the other Apex Lions were looking forward to working with this new Leo Club. He thanked Leo Club President Rizwan for all his efforts in getting this club started.
Apex Lion Bekki Bennett was recognized for her efforts as liaison to the Leo Club and for her work in putting together the charter banquet.
