North Carolina Theatre, the region’s premier producer of professional Broadway musicals, has announced casting for Oliver!, running Tuesday, July 17 through Sunday, July 22 in Raleigh Memorial Auditorium at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh.
Michael Perez and Rebecca Layko of Apex will be members of “Fagin’s Gang” and “Workhouse Boys” in the production. Both are students at the NC Theatre Conservatory.
Perez has performed in the NC Theatre’s Evita, Peter Pan, Annie Get Your Gun, and The Music Man to name a few.
In addition to theatre performances, Layko also enjoys participating in dance performances and training in ballet, tap, hip hop and jazz.
