Ashley Marie Barham and Justin Gregory Byars were married on April 28, 2012, at four o’clock in the afternoon at Garner United Methodist Church in Garner. A reception followed at the Rand-Bryan House.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Michael Barham of Fuquay-Varina and the late Gail Eatmon Barham. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Edward Lee Barham, Sr., and the late Mr. Edward Lee Barham, Sr., of Wake Forest, Mrs. Edgar Ellsworth Lambert, Sr., and the late Mr. Edgar Ellsworth Lambert, Sr. of Garner and the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond E. Eatmon of Clayton.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory George Byars of Garner. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Clifton Mundy, Mr. Vance George Byars and the late Mrs. Vance George Byars, all of Garner.
The bride was escorted by her father and presented in marriage by her parents. Molly Garnett Ellis of Apex served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jordan Elizabeth Barham of Clayton, Karen Tulloss Pahl of Clayton, both cousins of the bride, Julie Clair Howe of Winston-Salem and Florence Kathryn Yarbrough of Apex.
The groom’s father was his best man. Groomsmen were Christopher Brent Banker of Leland, Todd Michael Barham, brother of the bride, of Boone, Brandon Vance Byars, brother of the groom, of Garner, Michael Chase Hardin of Lincolnton and Stephen Blake Jeffries of Garner. Ushers were William Clifford Janke of Clayton, Daniel Travis Meyer of Raleigh, Mark Christopher Saad of Raleigh and Aaron Robertson Scholl of Garner.
The bride is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she also received her Master of Education in Teacher Education. She is a fifth grade teacher at Oak Grove Elementary. The groom graduated from North Carolina State University. He is the Branch Manager at First Citizens in Garner.
After a honeymoon in Jamaica the newlyweds reside in Raleigh.
