Hardee’s restaurants operated by Boddie-Noell Enterprises recently donated $5,000 to Apex-based Support Military Spouses. The donation was granted from the chain’s annual Stars for Heroes in-store fundraising campaign that invited Hardee’s customers to purchase stars for $1 in exchange for a coupon sheet.
The Hardee’s franchise community played an active role in nominating deserving organizations to receive funds. Boddie-Noell Enterprises, the largest Hardee’s franchise operator in the United States, selected Support Military Spouses to support their efforts honoring the heroes on the home-front, military wives and husbands.
“We are extremely grateful to Boddie-Noell Enterprises for partnering with us and sharing in our mission to honor and support military spouses. Their generous donation will have a huge impact on our ability to accomplish this goal through our Shoeboxes for Military Spouses program,” said Dr. Steven and Diane Rumley, Co-founders of Support Military Spouses.
“We have always been an advocate for military causes and believe the work Support Military Spouses is doing carries special importance for many spouses whose husbands and wives are on active duty,” said Bill Boddie, President and CEO of Boddie-Noell Enterprises, Inc.
The goal of Support Military Spouses is to recognize and applaud the undaunted courage of military wives and husbands as they shoulder the responsibility of family life, care for wounded warriors, and honor the memory of our nation’s fallen heroes.
This is done through programs that show appreciation for and reaffirm the sacrifice, patriotism and selflessness of all military spouses. Support Military Spouses is Christian non-profit charitable organization.
