Barbara Jones, 94, won first place in the “Land of the Free, Home of the Brave: America” art exhibit at the Halle Cultural Arts Center in downtown Apex. Jones is pictured here in front of her winning artwork “Madonna” with juror Dan Nelson. The exhibit is on display until Monday, July 20.
