Arrests

During a checkpoint on July 11, Fuquay police charged two drivers with driving while impaired. Arrested were Timothy John Moreci, 34, of Cary, and Melissa Ann Crouse, 39, of Holly Springs.

Police responded to a call at a residence on Three Meadows Road on July 12. Upon arriving, the officer noted a victim with bruising and ruptured blood vessels under his left eye, which was indicative of being struck in the face. The officer arrested Jessica Lyn Marie York, 29, of Fuquay, for assault.

Running a red light on North Main Street landed more than a normal traffic ticket for Patricia Ann Buccino, 47, of Fuquay, on July 12. Upon making a U-turn to pursue the Volvo Buccino's was driving, the officer observed she was allegedly driving 20 mph over the set speed limit of 25. Buccino was charged with driving while impaired.

Edward Gene Kennedy Jr., 38, of Fuquay, was cited with a failure to appear violation on July 12.

Thefts

On July 9, management at Jersey Mike's reported a subject used a fraudulent check. The case is under further investigation.

A breaking and entering was reported at a residence on Wade Street on July 10. Approximately $1,700 worth of items were reported stolen during the larceny, including a laptop computer, assorted jewelry and a video game console. Police are continuing investigation of the case.

On July 11, a vehicle was reported stolen from a parking lot area on East Broad Street.

Police are continuing to investigate the theft of a motorcycle which was removed from a residence on Dogwood Street on July 11.

Entering through a numerical key pad on a garage door was the method a suspect used for breaking into a residence on Old Bramble Lane on July 11. Video games were reported stolen.

The breaking/entering and larceny from a vehicle was reported in a parking lot area off of North Main Street on July 12. Reports stated someone entered through a passenger side door and took $254 in cash, along with the victim's checkbook.

A vehicle was reported stolen from a parking lot on Fitness Drive on July 12.

Other crimes

Police investigated a report of subjects fighting in the driveway at a residence on Hillcrest Road on July 11.
