Kids are expensive but their stuff doesn't have to be, especially when there's a sale going on like Kids EveryWear.

Just in the nick of time for back-to-school clothing, Kids EveryWare will be holding their fall consignment extravaganza in the Morrisville Outlet Center. Volunteers and consignors get the benefit of shopping as early as August 29 for the ultimate in selection and bargains. The event is open to non-consignors starting on September 11.

In these less than perfect economic times, most parents are always looking for venues to save a little cash. Not only do you get to outfit your kids at reduced prices, you can make some money in the process.

"I have been participating for over nine years now and it really helps out in these economic times," said D.J Bordeaux. "You can sell your old items and purchase other items in the sizes you need and make money at the same time."

Bordeaux said at least 12,000 bargain hunters came through the sale last year.

Featured items will include new and gently-used kids clothes, toys, educational materials, infant equipment, nursery furniture and more. A new addition this year will be upscale junior and ladies clothing, premium home decor, maternity wear and boutique items.

Gail Walker and Beth Pendola, both stay-at-home, home-schooling moms, started the Kids EveryWear sale in 1998 as a means of supplementing family incomes and providing an effective means of recycling like-new kid's gear. And since that time the sale has grown exponentially.

Many moms say that by consigning their children's gently used items and then coming early to the Kids EveryWear sale for the greatest bargains, it's almost like outfitting their kids for free.

Walker and Pendola stated they continue to be amazed that by God's grace, the sale is not only a blessing to their own families, but to the thousands of area families who buy and sell with Kids EveryWear as well.

Kids EveryWear also donates a portion of the sale's proceeds to local charities as well as all of the unsold items that consignors choose to donate at the end of each sale. Currently, UNC Children's Hospital, Birthchoice, a division of Catholic Parish Outreach, and Pregnancy Life Care are the primary beneficiaries.

A donation area will also be at the front of the building for anyone that would like to contribute a can of formula and/or a package of diapers to benefit these excellent causes.

The public sale hours are September 11, 12, 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.; and September 13 from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. On the last two days of the sale, hefty discounts will be given on some of the merchandise.

First time moms with children under the age of one, foster, and adopting moms who have had their adopted child for less than a year or are in the adoption process may register to shop early on Thursday, September 10 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Pregnant moms are invited to register and shop early at the Belly Buster Blast on September 10 from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Consignors must complete online registration prior to each Kids EveryWear sale in which they plan to participate.
