This holiday season Families United for Our Troops, the nation’s largest military family organization, will team up with Toys for Tots, Toys R Us, and Dunkin’ Donuts to host a special event for the children of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. On December 6th hundreds of military kids will descend on Toys R Us to pick out a gift for a child in need.

As the most populated Army post in the country, with one of the toughest deployment schedules, the military families of Fort Bragg have long been serving alongside their loved ones in uniform. This one of a kind shopping spree will allow a military child to demonstrate that “My family serves in more ways than one,” and to experience the joy of giving by selecting a gift to be given to another child in need. In return, they will receive a fun filled goody bag and a morning of Holiday fun.

When: December 6, 2009 – 8:00 am – 10:00 am

Where: Toys R Us, 1736 Skibo Rd, Fayetteville, NC

Why: To bring joy to less fortunate children during the holiday season and allow military kids to experience to joy of giving. All of the selected toys will be donated to the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program which collects new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distributes those toys as gifts to needy children around the nation.
