The Apex Chamber of Commerce of Commerce is partnering with students at Apex High School to create a unique fundraising opportunity.

Students of Tommy Maynard’s construction technology class have built two beautiful Adirondack chairs made from solid, treated wood. Raffle tickets are being sold with all the proceeds going to the chamber’s Book Bag Bonanza project.

“The Book Bag Bonanza is a fundraiser for our local schools,” said Chamber Executive Director Brenda Steen. “So I thought a partnership with students at Apex High School seemed like a perfect fit.” Raffle tickets are being sold through May 1 at the chamber. Tickets are $10 to win the pair. Chairs will be delivered to any location in Apex. Winners will be drawn Saturday at the chamber’s PeakFest booth.
