Gayle Whiting Hardman, 70, of Fuquay Varina died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Wake Med Raleigh. Mrs. Hardman was born on November 26, 1939 in Riverside, CA to John Ausman Whiting and Mary Eveline Henderson Whiting.

She was a loving mother and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She taught the children's classes in church for over 40 years.

Mrs Hardman is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Alvin Hardman.

She is survived by her sons: Kevin Hardman and wife Mary of Fuquay Varina, Todd Hardman and wife Alisa of Orem, Utah, Michael Hardman of Biloxi, MS; daughter: Wendy Hardman of Fuquay Varina; 12 grandchildren; and a great grandchild. She is also survived by a sister and a brother.

The family received friends at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. Apex on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 590 Bryan Dr. Apex. Burial will follow in the Apex Cemetery.
