The following events are being held at the Halle Cultural Arts Center in downtown Apex. Infinity Ballet Infinity Ballet Theatre Presents Magic Toyshop at the Halle Cultural Arts Center on Saturday, October 9 at 11:00 a.m. and Sunday, October 10 at 3:00 p.m. Ticket costs are $5.00 per person and are available at the Halle Cultural Arts Center Box Office or by visiting www.etix.com. Perfect for all ages, Magic Toyshop, is a humorous dance based on the ballet, Coppelia that is set in the story Village Olympia in Southern Poland. It's about a clever young girl, her silly boyfriend, a beautiful mechanical doll, and a funny old toymaker, who dreams of making a doll who would come to life! Infinity Ballet Theatre was founded in 2005 by professional dancers passionate about Classical Ballet Education. It is a successfully growing non-profit organization that has a focus combining the professional performing arts with youth development. IBT programs are designed to have a significant and lasting impact on the community by offering dance programs with diversity to serve many groups and by collaborating with other local artists and organizations in their productions. Apex High School Concert The Apex High School Orchestra Fall Concert will be held Tuesday, October 12 at 7 p.m. (Doors open at 6:30 p.m.) The event is free but seating is limited.

Movie Night Immortal Beloved (1994 Rated R) will be hown Wednesday, October 13 at 7 p.m. (doors 6:30 pm). Tickets: $2. Featuring a superb performance by Gary Oldman as Ludwig van Beethoven, Immortal Beloved is full of uncommonly vivid, rich imagery as it charts the tumultuous life of the deaf child prodigy and his rise to the height of musical achievement.

Pizza and A Show Family Movie Night at the Halle featuring: "How To Train Your Dragon" (2010 Rated PG) Thursday, October 14, 6 p.m. (doors 5:30). Tickets: $5 and includes the meal.

Salem Elementary Reflections Reflections exhibit and performance presented by Salem Elementary School with special guest storyteller Michael "Bad Hair" Williams on Friday, October 15, 6-8 p.m. The event is free with limited seating. Salem Elementary is participating in Reflections, a national PTA Arts Program which encourages students to express themselves in fine art, literature, photography, musical composition, and dance choreography. Students follow national guidelines and create projects based on their interpretation of the program theme. This year, students are submitting projects for the theme “Together We Can.”

Auditions Auditions are scheduled for The Princess and The Pea by Pat Rosenthal and The Elves and The Shoemaker by Karen Boettcher-Tate. Auditions: Mon, Oct 18, 7-9pm OR Tues, Oct 19, 7-9pm (choose one) Callbacks: Thurs, Oct 21, 7-9pm Rehearsals: Mon-Fri, Oct 25-Dec 9, 6:30-8:30pm plus some Saturday afternoons Performance Dates: Fri, Dec 10, 7pm; Sat, Dec 11, 2pm and 7pm, Sun, Dec 12, 2pm Director: Kathleen Rudolph, Raleigh Little Theatre Ages 10 to adult are eligible to audition. Please come prepared to move - wearing sneakers or jazz shoes and comfortable clothes. Auditions will consist of movement, team building exercises and vocalization. For the vocalization part of the audition, please write a description of your bedroom in 4 or 5 sentences and bring this with you. Please bring a list of any conflicts you have from October 25 through December 12 and fill out a Conflict Calendar (below).
