Cuba condemns US sanctions against Nicaragua

Havana-. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez today condemned US sanctions against Nicaragua and its interference in the country’s internal affairs.

On Twitter, Rodriguez confirmed his solidarity with the people of that Central American country and with President Daniel Ortega.

Last Wednesday, the US Treasury Department imposed sanctions on four Nicaraguan officials.

These individuals are being prosecuted for money laundering and other offenses that harm national sovereignty.

Nicaragua on Wednesday vehemently opposed any interference or interference in US internal affairs, describing Washington’s actions as compelling, unilateral, illegal and arbitrary.

In a statement, the government of that country demanded sovereignty, the right to self-determination and its legitimate right to defend the country against US intervention in any other colonial and neo-colonial system.

The last Republican administration of Donald Trump allowed at least 24 officials of the Ordega administration, including Vice President Rosario Murillo.
