In an interview with Radio Joem Ban, from the municipality of Itapetininga in the state of Sவோo Paulo, he said that “a small change of minister should take place on Monday.”
Bolzano received a structure of 29 portfolios from former President Michael Demer: 23 ministries, two secretariats and four bodies with ministerial standards.
He criticized the government’s proposal, which was registered in the High Court in 2018, as a ‘state allocation’, waiting for the ministerial cut.
According to the candidate at the time, “the country will do better with fewer ministries.”
“A large number of ministries are incompetent and they do not serve the legitimate interests of the country,” the former MP said three years ago.
Prior to the 2018 election, he promised to tilt the structure and rule with a maximum of 15 portfolios.
However, in January 2019, 22 ministers, including the head of the central bank, took office at the Planaldo Palace (the headquarters of executive power).
In June 2020, Bolzano announced the Ministry of Communications’ hobbies, bringing the number of portfolios to 23.
Now the former army captain has confirmed that the changes will be announced on Monday and, according to press releases, will affect the ministries of the Civil House (Presidency) and the General Secretariat.
